Formerly nameless, refereed to only as "they/them" or "The Sysadmin" (2020-11-23), their current name "Valo" being first coined on January 23rd, 2021 in a Private Discord Server:

In place of a more personal #introduction, I think I'll make use of this spacious character limit, and brief my OC/sona; Valo.
Valo is a white/gray-scaled "urban lizardfolk" server-administrator and maintainer, living alone an inherited Nordic server-farm. Happy to help his friends with tech, they're known as the reliable resource within their circles to ask regarding tech-related issues.
In a world much like our own, lizards evolved alongside humans to lizard-folk whom long co-existed with humans within earth's more tropical land-masses.
Once seen as primitives, these lizards were quick to show interest in technology and especially; computers. Soon most, if not all the most prominent steps forward in this sector could be traced to this kin.
See, it was not just the technology itself that had sparked the interest from our scaled brethren. Nay, as a cold-blooded kin, their joy was too shared by the fact that these magic metal boxes generated vasts amount of excess heat.
And with lizards now curious to integrate into the warm-folk's vast land of capitalism, IT-centric jobs were a no brainier for most. After all, the excess heat generated by whole warehouses filled with these boxes proved to be quite helpful in their migration into the now colder climate.
Thus, a "symbiosis" of sorts formed, between machine and lizard-kind. Server-farms becoming a sort of sanctuary through cold winters and odd human customs.
"So where does Valo come in", I now hear you, the void, humbly ask, and trust me, we're getting there.
See, despite these circumstances leading to the lizardfolk now venturing out of their natural habitats, they were still largely restrained to the equator, fickle few if any ever daring to venture to lands so hostile to their lack of natural heat.
Still, with how much more energy- and cost-efficient cooling would be in a more Nordic environment, as well as the lizard's generally far superior experience in technology, there was plenty of will to help our scaled kin spread to these parts of the world. Thus, the Lizardfolk-Exchange-Program was formed.
Funded and organized by a multitude of entities, the program proposed a unique investment opportunity for both parties: A datacenter would be set up at a Nordic landmass, and the eligible applicant would be tasked to manage and maintain the center for the next 2 years, under which only basic supplies, such as food and essentials would be supplied. In place of pay, after the 2-year lease, the lizardfolk-applicant would now inherit the entire center to their own.
Herein comes Valo, one such applicant, now a few, undefined years past the lease, they now operate their datacenter in peace. Although the situation lends itself to be an investment opportunity to most (and trust me, there are stories to be had there. After all, where did all this crypto come from if not the lizard people :p), Valo themselves instead simply enjoy the company of the machines, offering affordable cloud hosting, for no more than is necessary to keep their complex running.

Valo's design was greatly inspired by the works of Japanese twitter artist @sisigui_4649 and the lizard-folk of furry-mangaka Nagabe (Twitter: @mucknagabe), featured in works such as The Wize Wize Beasts of the Wizarding Wizdoms (Chapter 4: Marley & Collette / The Cold-Blooded & The Warm-Blooded) and Monotone Blue.
2021-02-13]Coffee is a quite regular part of Valo's weekly routine, not only acting as an energy boost, but also as a boost to their body temperature. Careful though, for with each cup taken, it'd seem they progressively fall back further and further to their feral instincts (eg, traversing on all fours, hissing, and an energetic hunger for not just digital bugs)
2021-03-08]Valo's neutral physique plus general disinterest in sex has led them to adopt a gender-neutral identity, preferring neutral "they/them" pronouns as supposed to any gendered ones. Still, Valo is male, and within the confines of a relationship, is not opposed to sharing their manhood with a potential partner, per their own discretion.
Valo has no sexual preference when it comes to partners, stemming from his relatively low sex-drive and close-knit circle of friends, he sees a partner more so as a friend in constant presence to him.
2021-02-25]Although Valo's certainly not opposed to the act, they're quite passive in this sector, requiring some other to initiate them in most situations. They're at their most suggestive in the weeks following their molting, in which time their scales can be seen in a bright quartz-like white. In bed, they're usually position themselves as "dominant". Although they much prefer to focus on their partner then directly stimulating themselves, finding great pleasure in the satisfaction of their partner.
